Essential Martial Arts Week Long Summer Camps

Description
(Course #1) - rising K-9th grades
In this incredibly EXCITING program, students will be introduced to basic empty hand martial arts techniques, simple padded weapons techniques, and the Asian culture by the Staff of Master Hendrix ESSENTIAL MARTIAL ARTS. Students will learn the correct etiquette and training practices of a martial artist including: the proper respect, protocols, breathing, physical workout drills and Forms (Pre-arranged artistic self-defense sequences). There will absolutely be No mix of religion into this course. This is a very serious and focused class but students will find it to be fun and exciting while parents may be pleasantly surprised when they hear their child respond with a loud, "Yes, Sir" and "Yes, Ma'am." The martial arts are based upon respect.
The ESSENTIAL MARTIAL ARTS STAFF will be teaching techniques and drills from Traditional Taekwon-do. Students will learn how these techniques and drills improve: Physical Conditioning, Focus, Coordination and Discipline.
Additionally, students will keep a daily journal of their experience. They will play: Co-ordination, team working and conditioning games and there will be regular "listen and learn" sessions. Each day a segment of the classic movie The Karate Kid part 2 (PG) will be shown. Then the children will have a "round table" discussion on how the story's main character travels to the orient and must learn to adjust to a new culture while utilizing his martial arts skills to learn about himself and others as well as overcome a confused bully.
Any ESSENTIAL MARTIAL ARTS' advanced student who attends will be broken off throughout the week to work on more advanced forms. ALSO, Each camper will receive a special T-SHIRT and a CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION.
Additionally, each day our staff will select one camper of the day to receive a special medal. At the end of the week the staff will vote which Camper of the Day is the Camper of the Week!
On the final day of camp we will end with the participants giving an action packed Martial Arts and Padded Weapons demonstration for friends and family. You do not want to miss it!!
This camp will be fun and informative for all ages of boys and girls!
